The Deacon and the Ethiopian Eunuch

Acts 1:8 says “but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witness in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria and to the end of the earth.” In the world today there are around 2-3 billion people who don’t know Jesus. When I say “don’t know” I mean have never heard the name of Jesus. In addition to these 3 billion, 10,000 babies are born every day in the United States. Yet church attendance nationwide is falling. In Matthew 9 it says “The Harvest Plentiful but Laborers are few.” We are experiencing this passage from Matthew 9 in real time. The church has a huge task to faithfully proclaim the Gospel message.
