The People, the Family, and the Man

Last week God promised a redeemer to rescue those who would believe from their sin. This week in genesis 12 we learn about the guy that He called. This guy was a pagan regional warlord with lots of stuff, but when God called this guy answered and obeyed. Think about this, to answer this call, he had to pack up and move. He had to leave the people whom he knew and the country that he was familiar with, and God did not give him a picture of the new spread. Did you know that God has never called a person to a task without giving him/her the wherewithal to do the task? So, what is the hinge on which getting the task done hangs? Will we be obedient to the call or not? Thankfully our guy this week chose to obey the call. Will you obey the call? Join us this week as take a look at the people, the family, and the man.
